Known as red tea in China, Black Tea is perhaps the most common kind of tea consumed in the UK. Rich in flavour and caffeine, and often taken with milk and sugar. Methods of manufacture can differ quite substantially from region to region, but typically the process has the same four stages; withering, rolling, oxidation and firing. Typically stronger than other varieties of tea, Black Tea boasts a number of high quality plantations from areas such as Darjeeling, Assam and Ceylon. We have a wide range of Black Teas, from the reaches of India and Sri Lanka to China and Nepal, as well as many blends and flavoured teas such as Darjeeling and Cylon Earl Grey and English Breakfast. Darjeeling, Ceylon, Kenyan, Rwanda, Tanzania, you name it, we will have the tea for you!
