Black Sencha Organic has its origins in the Chinese province of Zhejiang. Zheijiang is considered to be one of the birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilisation, it is home to many temples and historical relics.
How does lack sencha differ to other black teas? It is produced using a very specific oxidisation process, based on a Japanese methodology. The process results in large flat brown leaves which are notably lighter than your typical black tea leaves. When brewed the leaves produce a dark coloured infusion. The taste is exsquisite, it has some depth but with a light and refreshing tanginess that is almost psicy. An interesting black tea for sure, we recommend trying without milk to fully appreciate the full flavour.
