Darjeeling Phuguri First Flush Organic is a beautiful tea grown near the Kanchenjunga mountain range of Darjeeling, India. Being a first flush tea means it has been picked in the  Spring season , the first tea harvesting season of the year. First Flush teas are prized amongst Darjeelings, known for their lightness and floral notes.

This particular Darjeeling is a fabuulous example of a first flush tea. The leaves are large and have an abundance of silvery tippy leaves. Once brewed they unfurl to release a golden amber coloured liqour which has an earthy and bready aroma. The taste on the palate is delicate and smooth with a natural sweetness. There are also nuances of earthyness. A loose leaf tea to be savoured and best enjoyed without milk just as it is!
