English Breakfast

English Breakfast. Using fine Assam and Sumatra teas from organic cultivation all blended to make this a strong, fully flavoured brew.

Tea is traditionally blended from different areas/countries to give a rounded flavour and to take the best attribute of each tea to add to the mix. Tea was incredibly expensive to buy in the late 1800’s due to the huge import taxes placed on it by the Crown and was the drink of choice of the Royalty. 

The East India Company who brought the tea into England, via London, had a monopoly. The tea would travel via sea on merchant ships (known as Clipper ships) and would take months to arrive in the country. This English Breakfast tea is an Organic blend.
