Gunpowder is a loose leaf green tea and is probably the most popular green tea from Zheijang, south of Shanghai. Once the rolled tea leaves are brewed, they begin to crackle.

The tea is very unique in taste, slightly smokey and with a very strong and tangy aroma. If you find this tea is too strong on the first brew then do a second one and it will produce a more delicate brew.
