An interesting example of African Tea from the Rukeri village in Rwanda. It is one of the few African Teas that is produced using traditional orthodox methods.
Rwanda Rukeri now offer the teas from this garden as certified organic! This tea is a flowery orange pekoe.
The plantation Rukeri was founded by Europeans almost 50 years ago. In order to keep the leaves from breaking, they are moved only minimally during the withering process.
