This tea is crafted from the rare Shizu 7132 cultivar, also known as Machiko, which gained recognition after a farmer discovered its remarkable, naturally occurring cherry blossom fragrance.
Unlike many teas, the leaf stems are intentionally left in, as they contain the delicate compounds that create this signature floral aroma. The infusion reveals a luminous yellow liquor, offering a rich yet silky-smooth texture and unmistakable floral notes. The finish is extremely smooth.
The tea is light and has a real clarity in the mouth, the leaves can brewed for more than one infusion to truly savour all that they have to give.
A real must try for all who enjoy a fine Green Tea.
