Tea Lovers, Rejoice! Our Monthly Tea Tasting Sessions Are Back!
We are delighted to announce the return of our much loved monthly tea tasting sessions in store! We’re excited to invite you back on a flavourful journey around the world through the art of tea.
First Session: March 6th at 6 PM
Mark your calendars! Our first tea tasting event of the year will take place on March 6th at 6 PM. This introductory session will take you on an exploration of the world’s most celebrated teas, allowing you to experience the unique flavours and characteristics of different varieties.
A Global Journey in Every Sip
In this session, we will explore the robust and malty black teas from the hot, monsoon-laden region of Assam. We’ll discuss how these differ from the delicate black teas of Nepal and Darjeeling, offering insights into the impact of climate and terroir on their flavours.
Next, we’ll turn our attention to the revered green teas of China and Japan, highlighting the key differences in processing methods and taste profiles between these two tea-loving nations. We will share how to brew to get the best out of these fantastic teas and talk about their health benefits.
For those eager to expand their palate, we’ll introduce the lesser-known fermented Pu Erh tea and the diverse and exciting world of Oolong teas. These rich and complex teas will offer surprises even for seasoned tea enthusiasts!
Deep Dives into Specific Tea Types
Following our introductory tea tastings, we will alternate future sessions with in-depth explorations of specific tea varieties. These deep dives are perfect for those who have previously attended our “Around the World” sessions and are eager to expand their tea knowledge further.
