The name of this particular blend comes from the olden days when caravans carrying tea to trade woould travel along the Silk Road. The sacks of tea stored near the campfires along the way picked up the smoke from the bonfires. The smokeyness it imparted became a desired and unique characterists of the tea and so Caravan tea blends were born!
This blend uses the finest Yunnan and Keemun teas. These have an earthy and sweet character. Lapsang Souchong is added to give the smokey element. The overall result is a tea with a full body and aromatic notes.
A must try for lovers of distinctive teas and anyone who enjoys Lapsang Souchong.
