Kukicha is a very popular tea in it’s country of origin, Japan. This one is a high quality example and organically grown. It differs to other green teas as it includes the stems of the plant, in Japanese these are called Kuki, hence the name Kukicha ( cha means tea).
The aroma of the leaves produces a slightly sweet and somewhat straw like notes, it is less “grassy” than other Japanese teas. When brewed Kukicha produces a bright golden coloured infusion, the flavour is light yet full. We would recommend trying this if you are a lover of green teas.
