There’s nothing quite like cosying up with a warm, comforting drink as the autumn air turns crisp. Pumpkin spice drinks hold a special place in many of our hearts, today, we’re taking it up a notch by infusing those cosy flavours into a cup of tea! Using our new Pumpkin Spice Latte Black Tea this recipe is the perfect balance of rich black tea, warming spices, and a creamy twist that gives it a latte-like experience.
Ingredients:
- 1 heaped teaspoon of Pumpkin Spice Latte Black Tea
- 1 cup of water (about 240 ml)
- 1/2 cup of milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or coconut milk work well)
- 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree (optional for an extra pumpkin boost)
- 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin spice (or a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves)
- 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup for sweetness (optional)
- Whipped cream (optional for topping)
- A dash of cinnamon for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Brew the Tea
Start by brewing a cup of Pumpkin Spice Latte Black Tea. Bring one cup of water to a boil, then remove from heat and let the tea leaves steep for 4-5 minutes. This will allow the rich black tea and warm spices to fully develop.
Step 2: Heat the Milk
While the tea is steeping, gently warm your milk of choice in a small saucepan over low heat. If you prefer a frothy latte, use a whisk or milk frother to create foam while the milk heats up.
Step 3: Add the Pumpkin
For extra pumpkin flavor, whisk in a tablespoon of pumpkin puree into the warming milk. Add your pumpkin spice blend as well, ensuring it is well incorporated.
Step 4: Sweeten (Optional)
If you like your beverages on the sweeter side, stir in honey or maple syrup to taste. The sweetness pairs beautifully with the spicy notes of the tea.
Step 5: Combine Tea and Milk
Once your tea has finished steeping and your milk is ready, combine the two. Pour the tea into a mug, followed by the spiced milk. For an extra creamy texture, you can pour the milk through a froth to keep the foam on top.
Step 6: Garnish
For the finishing touch, top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon if you like.
Enjoy!
Sip and savour the taste of Autumn with this Pumpkin Spice Latte Tea. It’s the perfect blend of warming spices, a creamy texture, and comforting tea notes to carry you through chilly autumn days. Plus, it’s easy to make and customize to your liking!
